Chicken Breast Barbecue Recipe
Barbecuing is fun and rewarding in many ways. Barbecue chicken breasts is especially delicious when you are cooking them in your backyard and enjoying them with your family or friends. This chicken breast barbecue recipe is quite easy to follow and it uses only 8 ingredients. When barbecuing chicken breasts, make sure that you do not overcook them because doing so will only make the meat hard and not very tasty at all!
Ingredients:
- 4 whole chicken breasts, halved, bonned and washed
- 3 whole cloves
- 4 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- dash pepper
Instructions:
1. First of all, in a bowl, add in the lemon juice, brown sugar, soy sauce and oil to make the marinade. Combine and mix well.
2. In a large bowl, add in the chicken breasts and sprinkle in the thyme, pepper and garlic.
3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and let it stand for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. It is highly recommended that you turn the breasts over occasionally for better flavor.
4. Preheat the barbecue grill and place the chicken breasts nicely on the barbecue grill then baste them with the marinade.
5. Ideally, you should grill each side for about 5 minutes then turn and grill for another 6 minutes until the chicken breasts are lightly brown and opaque. Another way to test if the chicken breasts are fully cooked is to pierce them with a fork to see if the juices run clear.
6. Serve and enjoy.
